Planning and Siting Studies

Providing preliminary cultural resources data for project planning purposes.

Our siting studies include archival research and field visits to the project area. We identify all previously recorded archaeological and architectural resources in the project vicinity, identify any potentially historic architectural resources in the field siting study map, and delineate areas within the project area with high potential for the presence of intact archaeological sites. This data can then be used during the project design process. When able to account for cultural resources during the planning, potential cultural resource related complications and/or concerns can often be avoided.
